About
Although proficient in many arenas, my current research foci include biological soil crusts, rock art management, and alternative pedagogy in science (especially through fieldwork and field methods & techniques).
More generally, my interests conjoin at the human environment interface through the flexible disciplinary boundaries of Geography in a broad sense and through biogeomorphology (with strong humanistic tendencies) in particular.
From a regional standpoint, I take pride in striving to be culturally competent and have first-hand experience in the Aegean, American West, arid lands, the Caribbean (Grenada & West Indies in particular), South American Cono del Sur, and US-Mexico Borderlands.
I also enjoy a cold, frothy glass of root beer, thick yet lean steaks, desserts, milkshakes, and believe students are the center of the Academic Universe!
